Wow! The past month has been incredible. We’ve met hundreds of students, community members, parents and school faculty/administrators. I sat at my computer around 5 this morning scanning through pics and footage from the tour and laughed hysterically, beamed with pride and almost cried once (or twice) thinking about how much we’ve accomplished and reliving all the unforgettable moments on the road. Thank you to all the schools who’ve welcomed us with open arms this fall: Richard R. Green HS of Teaching, Plattsburgh High School, Ticonderoga Central School, Crown Point Central School, Keeseville Elementary School, Willsboro Central School, Paterson School No. 5, International High School/Garrett Morgan Academy.

With our Jersey City and DC concerts this week being rescheduled for next Spring, this Thursday and Friday, we conclude the northeast leg of the tour with F.D Stubbs Elementary School in Wilmington, DE on 12/15 and Pelham Preparatory Academy in the Bronx, NY on 12/16. Both shows are open to the public and we’ll be rockin’ from 6pm - 8pm. The Delaware show is FREE, the Bronx concert has a minimal cover charge $5.

So, pick a date and join us, k? Cool. I promise you’ll have a blast.

Here’s a look at some of our favorite photos/moments from the road. Check our Facebook Page for albums from each individual concert. Footage will be making its way to you at the close of the tour.

Once again, thank you all for your continued support!

Full. Steam. AHEAD!
Our Kickstarter project ended with a very interesting turn of events last Thursday. An anonymous funder contributed a very generous amount (offline) to support our mission - enough to finance a significant portion of the fall 2011 tour and successfully get us to ALL 15 schools on our schedule. If you’re still interested in donating to the fall tour, you can click here OR, click on our Donate tab at the top of the blog.
In the meantime, enlarge the web flier, check out the tour dates and mark your calendars. We kick things off on Thursday, November 10 at the Richard R. Green HS of Teaching and would love to see you!

We’ve held on to this video long enough. Here’s the footage from our final stop on the tour at Wadleigh Secondary School for the Performing & Visual Arts.

I (Holley Monelle) cried when I watched it for the first time because it mirrored exactly what we set out to do with the tour and it reminded me that this was never impossible.

Thank you guys for all the support. We’ve got a great summer lined up and are looking forward to kicking the nationwide tour off this fall. Stay tuned for all the details.

We are in a very good place with the tour right now and couldn’t be more humbled and grateful. Here’s a mash-up of some opening night footage from our tour videographer, Potential. Lots more updates coming soon!

Tour Launch!

Coming off of a dope launch party at Scratch DJ Academy in the West Village Thursday, last night, we kicked off the tour at Global Tech Prep in E Harlem and it was absolutely amazing. The turnout was great. Parents were cheering, kids were cheering. Scratch DJ Academy awarded a scholarship for a 6-week DJ course to one of the students. We gave away a few prizes and awards. Man, it was just - I don’t even have the words for it. Photos and footage coming next week (of both the GTP concert and the launch party).

We are beyond grateful for all the love and support behind this initiative. Please know that without you, this tour wouldn’t be possible.

4 more shows to go on the NYC pilot. Next stop - M.S. 45/S.T.A.R.S Prep Academy on MONDAY, April 4 from 6pm - 8pm. Get tickets at www.hallpasstour.com.

Done With Auditions!

Man, the past few days have been intense. We’re all done with school auditions for the tour and have scored some really, reallllly talented students to open for j.RENEÉ and ScienZe. The first concert date is Friday, April 1 from 6pm - 8pm so be sure to scoop your advance tickets and check www.hallpasstour.com for all other tour dates and ways to keep in contact with us.

We’ve got more news en route in the coming days/weeks and footage and photos from the auditions coming your way as well, =). Thank you all so much for supporting this endeavor. Without you believing, it’d just be another idea. We appreciate you.

Updates!

We’ve been working diligently over the past few days drafting up our press release, getting fliers, posters, stickers and our banner printed and keeping in contact with our pilot schools to make sure they’re all set for auditions. The promo materials look awesome and the momentum of the team is so inspiring. Knowing everyone is excited to get things going makes it even more fun and fulfilling to be invested in.

Tomorrow is the first day of auditions! We’re headed to M.S. 45/S.T.A.R.S Prep Academy and the Richard R. Green High School of Teaching. I wish words could describe how HYPED I am to see these kids perform. We know you guys can’t be there BUT - be on the lookout for audition footage soon, =).
